1. The ethnic conflict that was taking place in Hotel Rwanda is a conflict that happens in many countries and it just had a fatal outcome in Rwanda. The conflict was between two ethnic groups who had different physical features and fought because of it. The Hutu and the Tutsi were the two ethnic groups. This manager, Paul, of this European Hotel created a refugee camp for the Tutsi's.
2. The international help was insufficient mainly because they didn't give any. Basically, every country who had anyone there took their people out. The UN took all their peacekeepers and any person who was not Rwandan and made them leave. It was a huge step for the UN to try to make people leave and get them out of the way of the Hutu's. The Tutsi's had no chance against the Hutu's who had firepower and the Tutsi's had nothing to fight back with. I believe on the UN's part it was the right thing to do because those people might have been hurt.
3. I believe that this movie depicted this incident quite well for what I have found in the research that I had to do after seeing this movie. It is a terrific story and it shows that killing and murder does happen especailly in ethnic conflicts. I believe that in the future the UN will have to go in and try to stop it before it happens. After this incident I see it as a must for the UN and that everyone including the USA will need to step in and try to do something before millions of people get killed. This incident is something like Darfur in a way. Just because they live in this place they get killed to get out of their villages for the land. This genocide is alike with Hotel Rwanda.
